Information Matrix Algorithm of Block Based Bivariate Newton-Like Blending Rational Interpolation
Interpolation has wide application in signal processing, numerical integration, Computer Aided Geometric Design (CAGD), engineering technology and electrochemistry. Block based bivariate Newton-like blending rational interpolation can also be calculated based on information matrix algorithm in addition to block divided differences. The paper studied interpolation theorem, dual interpolation of ...
متن کاملNewton-Hensel Interpolation Lifting
The main result of this paper is a new version of Newton-Hensel lifting that relates to interpolation questions. It allows one to lift polynomials in Z[x] from information modulo a prime number p 6= 2 to a power pk for any k , and its originality is that it is a mixed version that not only lifts the coefficients of the polynomial but also its exponents. We show that this result corresponds exac...
متن کاملStable Computation of Generalized Matrix Functions via Polynomial Interpolation∗
Generalized matrix functions (GMFs) extend the concept of a matrix function to rectangular matrices via the singular value decomposition. Several applications involving directed graphs, Hamiltonian dynamical systems, and optimization problems with low-rank constraints require the action of a GMF of a large, sparse matrix on a vector. We present a new method for applying GMFs to vectors based on...
متن کاملProgressive Radiance Computation Based on Conductance Maps
In this paper we present two new algorithms to progressively preview an image accounting for global illumination effects while it is being rendered. These algorithms are based on a partition of the image plane using a conductance map, able to represent strong boundaries—the properties vary significantly on either side of each boundary. The eye radiances are then computed at well chosen points o...
متن کاملEstimating Actin Fiber Orientation using Interpolation-Based Grey-Level Co-Occurrence Matrix Computation
A novel interpolation-based procedure for the computation of the grey level co-occurrence matrix is defined. Based on this procedure, a method for accurate texture orientation estimation is designed. The robustness of the method is tested against Gaussian noise and blurring. The method is applied to cell microscopy images for the characterization of actin subcellular arrangement.
